COMMUNITY SHOPPER OUTAGE POLICY

Community Shopper's highest priority is its members' access to list and receive the best deals available from and to the community. However, the Community Shopper site may occasionally experience outages during which vendor members cannot list offers and buyer members cannot accept offers. When outages occur that are at least one hour in duration, Community Shopper offers this Outage Policy to compensate for member inconvenience.

Site outage of one or more hours

In the event of a site outage of more than one but less than two hours, Community Shopper will credit the vendor for the listing fees on a prorated basis for all affected offer listings. The following listings will be eligible for credit:

  • Any group-based offer listings active during the entire outage;

  • Any group-based offer listings scheduled to become active during the outage.

Unlike our site outage policy of two hours or more, offer listings will not be extended.

Site outage of two or more hours

In the event of a site outage of two hours or more, Community Shopper, at our discretion, will consider extending eligible offer listings for 24 hours. Community Shopper will also credit the listing fees on a prorated basis for eligible and affected offer listings. The following listings will be eligible for credit:

  • Any group-based offers active during the entire outage;

  • Any group-based offers scheduled to become active during the outage.

By definition, “buy it now&rdquo and “cart-only&rdquo offers are not eligible for extension under this policy.

What is considered to be a site outage?

A site outage occurs when no one can accept or otherwise commit to a listed and eligible offer as a result of unscheduled system downtime. At our discretion, Community Shopper may consider two outages that occur very closely to one another to be one site outage when considering the options to extend offer listings. Offer listings that end prior to a site outage will not be extended.

Following a site outage of two or more hours, Community Shopper will consider extending the end times for all eligible offer listings by 24 hours. After the offer listing end times have been updated, Community Shopper will notify each of the Community Shopper members associated with the offer.

To end your offer listing

Community Shopper offers the Outage Policy as a courtesy. However, as a vendor member, you may be satisfied with the offer activity before the extended offer listing end time is granted. If you are, you may send us a note through the Contact Us form to let us know of this request.
